Been wondering. Suppose there is a trailer truck on a straight highway, going at a certain speed, carrying about 12 cars. Say, all the cars suddenly vanish into the thin air. If everything else remains the same (speed, path, wind direction, force etc.) the truck's speed should increase - innit?

does the truck know the cars disappeared? if it doesn't , prolly won't make a diff...
ReplyDeleteFor argument's sake, lets say the truck driver doesn't know. So he keeps driving with the same speed. Now, if the truck was moving with a certain amount of load, and that load disappeared, wouldn't the same amount of force give the truck an extra push?
ReplyDeleteI think it should, assuming that the 12 cars did contribute significantly to the overall weight earlier.
